[How to] Enable Unicode in Opera Mini Mobile Browser?

Is your mobile web browser not supporting Nepali and other Unicode Scripts? Does it show like ?????????? or like ▀ ▀ ▀ ▀ ▀ ▀ for Nepali and other complex scripts? This type of problem is most familiar in some Samsung, Nokia, LG and most of Chinese mobile phone browsers. This type of problem can be solved in the Opera Mini Mobile web browsers which is the most popular mobile phone browser used by over 200 million users and its free as well. You can get them from Opera Mini Mobile and use the default mobile web browser to install or copy and paste or transfer through Bluetooth or Data Cable if your phone supports. Now lets be concerned with enabling complex scripts in the browser. To do this, follow these some easy steps:-
1. Open the Opera Mini Web Browser.
2. In the address bar, type opera:config only erasing http://www..
3. You will see the power user settings window.
4. Scroll down and at the last you will see Use bitmap fonts for complex scripts and enable it i.e. choose option 'yes' (it is disabled by default).
5. All you have to do this is done. This use of bitmap fonts instead of complex scripts will be a little costly since there will be some more transfer of data but it works so no problem of few extra cost.

NTC to Bring iPhone 4 in Nepali Market at Rs 15000.

Nepal Telecom is in process of bringing iPhone 4 in cheapest price in Nepal. Nepal Telecom had already done non disclosure agreement with Apple for that. Since 16GB and 32GB are much expensive Apple had brought the cheapest iPhone targeting the developing country like Nepal. So in co-operation with Apple company, Nepal Telecom is soon bringing iPhone 4 in about Nrs 15,000 ($200) in Nepali market. Nepal Telecom had tried to bring blackberry in co-operation with Canadian company RIM, but that failed due to some unfair statements. Lets see if NTC would bring iPhone 4 in Nrs 15,000 or not. If NT became success in that Most people of Nepal will be using iPhone. This might be a great news for all the iPhone lovers in Nepal. This scheme from NTC will have the advantage to the Nepali iPhone lovers in the sense that they will not only have the benefit of using iPhone at the affordable cost but also the latest 3G technology, here in the case of Nepal, as well which are not supported in most of the mobile phones in the market (specially low price Chinese and Indian handsets). Don't be confused that many sites are explaining as iPhone 4G and it also supports 4G technology but the reality is that its not iPhone 4G, its only iPhone 4 which signifies its version and it only supports 3G technology. iPhone has not revealed its 4G supported smartphones till now, not even in iPhone 4S which has just been launched in the market. Get more details about iPhone and all versions from Apple.

Launch of Google + sercice, New Social Networking Site by Google!

Google has launched its another service, the Google + service. This service is the social networking service by Google. It is believed that it can compete with the most popular social networking site till today, Facebook. Its now limited to certain users only under testing phase and will be available soon to all the users. Google Plus is the link and you can get it using your existing Gmail. You can build your Google Friend Circles extensively based on your friend’s invite email address or already those who are in your contact list.

Google Plus is a new initiative from Google in the Social Networking after failure of some of its early projects like Google Wave – they must be observing the Social Media Day, June 30 by launching this new service. We are here, exploring look and feel of Google+, a new social networking service from Google based on Circles, Hangouts, & Sparks with Google Profiles, Buzz, Picasa Albums & Videos. Also Google Buzz, Socio are not receiving much attention. Google Plus is released just after they globalized their +1 services which is similar to Facebook’s like.

Google + seems like using excessive HTML5 and CSS3 technologies to give its users totally fresh look. The use of Web 2.0 (even Web 3.0) is yet to be observed, hope Google will be fast enough in Social Networking this time, which is the only way Google+ can survive.

The home page says: The Google+ project makes sharing on the web feel like sharing in real life.

Currently Twitter and Facebook are serving millions of streaming posts about Google Plus service which is as of now invite only. Also some people are complaining that even though they get the invitation, they can’t login or sign up with Google Plus service.

Google Plus is in another way a central repository of previous Google Profiles, Buzz, +1 collection, Picasa Web album’s shared pics and videos. And all of these can be controlled via Google Plus data liberation from the setting panel. As of now, there is no official Google words regarding the storage capacity of the service because users (free ones) were allocated only 1GB of storage in Picasa which includes the images uploaded in Blogger as well. This will soon exhaust the storage in Plus, if Google uses the same web storage.

The structure of Google Plus profile looks like similar to that of Google Profile, with addiction of a sub-domain “plus” in it.

These are some of the features of Google Plus seen as of now, we hope to come across some more in time. At least, we can be sure that Plus will depend on Facebook and Twitter plus other social networking sites to bring more users to it, hence you can still connect your other social media profiles to Google+.

A nice animated demo tour and features of Google+ can be viewed on Google + Project Page
